Not all oils from the plants can be effectively extracted by a defined extraction method. The excessive steam and the heat can make certain valuable nutrients in the oil get evaporated and thereby, the basic purpose of the extraction of the oil is lost.
The cold-press or expression method of extraction is deployed for select Citrus fruits and (mainly) fruits with seeds e.g. Avocado. The cold-press process deploys miniscule amount of heat and automated screw-like device that are hard pressed or tightened against the pulp/seed to extract the oils without losing their ingredient nutrients.
